A long time ago, 7-8 years or so, my man Mad Mats was doing a resident night at the Raw Fusion club (before my time!). That night he was playing a whole lotta great tunes, with a whole lotta love, from an island far far away! "The Funky Chicken" by Winston Groovy, "Be Thankful For What You Got" Donovan Carless and last but not least this fine, and quite rare 7", Byron Lee's version of the James Bond movie theme with the same name, "Live & Let Die"!

A few weeks ago I was in LA doing a couple of gigs (Soul Sessions and Afro Funké) and ended up checking out the HVW8 Gallery on Melrose (and Spaulding) with my good friends Flip and Min. Max and Ty that run the place asked me to make them a DJ mix for their podcast, and so I did. So check out their site and listen to my filthy mix while you're at it! This weekend is packed with goodies! First up we have soul/disco legend Candi "Young Hearts Run Free" Staton making a live appearance in Stockholm where I'm also DJ'ing pre and post concert! Don't miss out on this once-in-a-life-time opportunity to see a legendary queen perform. Who knows when she'll be leaving us for good! And you know this, maaaan! So I'm back in attack, Stockholm style. Been away for some time now in the States. Got back just before the Raw Fusion night last weekend. And that party was a party to talk about for ages to come. The Shelter in our own backyard! But yeah, now it's time to start posting some new shit on here. So sorry I've been slacking on this! But I'm back again and here to stay. Right now I got this nice little edit of this nice little track called "Open Up Your Mind" by The Gap Band. My homeboy Pure P was playing this just after my set at APT in NYC a couple of weeks ago. It reminded me of my own exclusive edition, so I hope ya dig...ya dig?

Man, I've been slacking big time on this blog shit! But right now, I don't have access to that great internet speed. So please bare with me! I'll be giving away some great goodies in the near future when internet is back on the same fast track as before.
